Two days after the shocking incident of finding cockroaches and bugs inside a refrigerator at a Cafe Coffee Day (CCD) outlet at Hawa Mahal in Jaipur, the premises of this outlet had been shut immediately.

According to India Today report, the CCD staff of the outlet moved base from there and took away the entire belongings with them. According to reports the outlet was closed two days back after the controversy broke out. An employee of Hawa Mahal said that the CCD employees had moved away two days back as it was a temporary outfit.

A few days back a customer, Arpan Verma was slapped by a female employee of the (CCD) outlet after he was seen capturing the crawling cockroaches inside the refrigerator on his camera. The video clip showed that a customer was taking a shoot of the refrigerator. A female staff asked him not to do. When he did not stop, she slapped him. And the video showing the staff slapping Arpan went viral on social media.

Meanwhile, CCD authorities said that they were aware of the incident and it was under investigation. While taking notice of the video, authorities took to Twitter and said, “We will take necessary action without compromising on our endeavor to deliver quality products and services to our patrons.” “We have escalated the recent issue at our Jaipur outlet and are in talks with the consumer and the internal team to ascertain facts.”
